Questions about internal dashboards.
Isn't this just Power BI or Looker Studio?
If a BI tool fits, use a BI tool — I'll tell you so. Those work well when your data already sits in one clean place. I build when the numbers are scattered across systems that don't export cleanly, or when the people using it need to change things, not just look at charts.
Can a dashboard read from my existing spreadsheets and systems?
Often yes, and that's usually the cheapest starting point. It depends entirely on where your data lives and whether those systems will let anything else read them. That's one of the first things I check before quoting.
What's the difference between a dashboard and an internal tool?
A dashboard shows you the numbers. An internal tool lets your staff act on them — adjust a booking, mark an invoice paid, correct a record. Most projects need a bit of both, and I'd rather build the small useful version of each than a big reporting suite nobody opens.
How much does a custom dashboard cost?
Fixed price quoted upfront after a 30-minute conversation. Small tools typically land in the low thousands SGD. If your problem doesn't justify custom software, I'll say so honestly.
